Arthur Lee Mason

Arthur Lee Mason, 81, of Spring Branch Road, Murfreesboro, N.C. formerly of Suffolk, V.A transitioned Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his residence. He was the son of the late Arthur Mason, Sr. and Ella Joe Perkerson Mason Turner. He was preceded in death by three daughters, Portia Lops, Sonseeray Mason and Crystal Mason; sister, Mary Lawrence. He was born in Isle of Wight County and attended Isle of Wight Training School. Arthur retired from the United Parcel Service in 1994 after 27 years of dedicated and faithful service. He was also a member of White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mary Nyoka Mason of Murfreesboro, N.C; three daughters, Tammy Mason of Brooklyn, NY, Pamela Dickens of Jackson, N.C and Tarita Mason of Suffolk, V.A; four sons, Perry Mason, Suffolk, V.A, Keith Riddick, Brooklyn, N.Y; Mario Robinson, Philadelphia, P.A and Arthur E. Mason of Long Island, N.Y; two brothers, Mickie Johnson, ,Smithfield, V.A and Curtis Johnson, Newport News, V.A; 18 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Daffie Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.                 A celebration of life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at White Oak Spring Missionary Baptist Church, 26125 Delaware Road, Franklin, V.A.
