Louella G. Davis of 194 Boulder Rock Drive, Palm Coast, FL went home to be with the Lord on February 25, 2016 while under Hospice Care at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL.Ms. Davis was born in Columbus, GA and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rosanna Walton Jenkins and the mother of the late James Willie Gatling.She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Suffolk, VA.She was a dedicated member of the Bethlehem Christian Church (United), Suffolk, VA where she served as a Deaconess.Ms. Davis was predeceased by her ten siblings. Four brothers Gilbert, Andrew, Samuel Jr. and Napoleon Jenkins. Six sisters, Rosa Howell, Exyie Chambliss, Hattie Sears, Alethia Williams, Catherine Cooper and Evelyn Edwards.Left behind to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are devoted nieces, Bernadette Biggs, Traci Biggs, and Treva Saleem; devoted nephew and niece, Jensen and Pegy Gill and nephew Tony Davis all of Palm Coast, FL; a devoted friend, Donald Richardson affectionately known as "Chicken Red" of Suffolk, VA and numerous other nieces, nephews and friends.A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2016 at noon at Bethlehem Christian Church (United), 312 Bute Street, Suffolk, VA by the Rev. Emanuel M. Myrick, Jr. A viewing will be held before the funeral service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
