Theodore Allen, Sr.

Theodore Allen, Sr., 78, of 6836 Crittenden Road transitioned Monday, February 22, 2016. He is the son of the late Jimmie and Polly Allen. He is also preceded in death by his spouse Jane Alice Allen. He is a native of Nansemond County. Theodore was a member of Diamond Grove Baptist Church where he was in the Adult Choir, Male Chorus and the Ushers’ Board. He retired from Gwaltney Meat Company after numerous years of dedicated service. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Debra A. Holley (Curtis) of Suffolk; four sons, Timothy Allen (Cora L.), Theodore Allen, Jr, Wayne R. Allen (Vanessa) and James D. Allen (Wanda E) all of Suffolk, VA; brother, Louis Allen of Suffolk, VA; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be noon Friday, February 26, 2016 at Diamond Grove Baptist Church, 6890 Crittenden Road. Rev. Dr. Calvin Lillard will deliver the eulogy and he will be laid to rest in Macedonia Baptist Church. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home, Inc.
