"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.   In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.   And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.   And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know." John14:1-4 Mother Lillian Louise Goodman was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on January 18,2016 at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Lillian was a native of Gates County, North Carolina and a former member of Eatons Temple in Gates, North Carolina. Once Lillian moved to Virginia in 1988 she attended Rising St. James PHC and later Total Transformation House of Praise under the leadership of the late Bishop D. L. Whitfield. Lillian was the daughter of the late Junnie and Minerva Vann. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen Goodman, her brother Melvin Vann, and three sisters Margeret Austin, Madeline Smith, and Eva Riddick and her son-in-law Bishop D.L. Whitfield. She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Elder Glendell Whitfield and Ricky Vann. Three grandchildren, Leonna Whitfield, Lacoya Whitfield, and Tanesha Whitfield, all of Suffolk, Va. Special friends Herbert Wilson of Suffolk,Va., Rev. Bernadette Melton of Gates County, North Carolina and Jackie Clemons of Suffolk, Virginia. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends A celebration of life will be held on  Saturday, January 23, 2016 at noon at New Mt Joy Food for Living Ministries. Visitation with the family between 2pm and 8pm at 312 Greenfield Crescent, Suffolk, Va.
