Benex Marie Lesane, 71 of Doles Road, Zuni, VA died Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Surry, VA and the daughter of the late Charlie Frank Holmes and Mary Adell Holmes. She attended Southampton County School System. She retired from Coca-Cola Enterprise. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Wyona Holmes of Jersey City, NJ; four sisters, Glenda Saunders of Zuni, VA, Adell Dailey (George) of Mayesville, SC, Mary Louise McGhee of Jersey City, NJ and Emma Armstrong of Daytona Beach, FL; four brothers, Lorenza Holmes, James Holmes, Henry Holmes and Pernell Holmes(Juanita) all of Jersey City, NJ; one grandchild, Monique Holmes; three great grandchildren, Dominique Woods, Sadiq Woods and Humza Woods; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Visitation with family from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
