Lee Whitehead

Lee Whitehead, 74, went home to be with his Lord and savior on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, at Obici Hospital. He was born on January 2, 1941, in Southampton County, VA to the late Mary Jane Whitehead and Frank Mason. He was raised by Rosa and Joe Artis. Lee was a retired truck driver.Lee is survived by his daughter, Rosalee Whitehead-Ricks; three grandchildren, Kiera Ricks, Daryl Ricks, Jr. and Derrick Ricks; two brothers, Bennie Mason and Raymond Mason; sister, Peggy Mason; devoted friend, Nita Norfleet; and a host of other relatives and friends.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at R.A.W. Ministries. Rev. Robert Wilkins will deliver the eulogy. He will be laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at 516 Chisholm Lane, Suffolk, Virginia.
