Marjorie Newsome

Marjorie Newsome, 76, of Suffolk, VA went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida May Jones.She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Cary Newsome, Jr.; three daughters, Laverne Boykins (Thomas), Wanda Newby (Calvin) and Brenda Atkins all of Suffolk, VA; one son, Cary Newsome III of Southampton County; step son, Donell Johnson of Suffolk; nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.A Homegoing service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at Macedonia A.M.E. Church, 1217 Pine Street, Suffolk. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 135 South 4th Street.
