Mrs. Willie Beatrice Rose-Milteer, 93, of Highfield Street, Suffolk departed this life to claim her eternal rest and peace on Friday, October 30, 2015 at her residence. She was born December 17, 1921 in Dreweryville, Virginia to the late John and Maude Epps Rose, was the eldest child of nine. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Elaine Milteer-Johnson; four sisters, Mable Rose-Parham, Virgie Mae Rose-Mason, Catherine Rose-Lee and Marion Rose-Barnes; one brother, John Robert Rose Jr.Willie Beatrice was the pillar of her family in which she was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved taking care of her family.Willie Beatrice memory will be cherished by two daughters, Rose Marie Bryant (Tyrone) of Sedley and Beatrice F. Ash (Clarence Jr.) of Suffolk; two sons, Edwin Milteer (Diane) of Suffolk and Elmer Milteer (Towanda) of Como, NC; two sisters, Ernestine Rose-Pope and Carolyn Rose-Richardson both of Franklin; brother William H. Rose of Franklin; 17 grandchildren, Gwen, Shawanda, Dyshawn, Ebony, Corey, Tonya, Clarence III, Shondera, Daphne (Byron), Suprina, Paul (Trina), Shanika, Tynetta, Dasia, Dijon, Nizisha and Danae; a host of great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A celebration of life will b held 1 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2015 at First Baptist Church 318 Hall Street, Franklin, Virginia.
