Clennis Morris Jr. passed away peacefully on October 20, 2015 in his home after living a long and happy life despite an ongoing battle with diabetes. He was 68 years old born in Martin County, NC to the late Clennis Morris Sr. and Mary Stanton Morris and was preceded in death by his sister Katie Morris. Left to cherish n his memory is his wife of 37 years, Dale Morris of Suffolk VA his 3 daughters, Barbara Williams of Scotland Neck NC, Nikita Morris, and Bianca Morris both of Suffolk VA and his son, Nikema Morris (B'trisse) of Jacksonville FL. Clennis also leaves 5 grandchildren: Myron Williams (Tameka) of Rocky Mount NC, Chelsea Williams Peterson (Kristopher) of Scotland Neck NC, DeAndre Morris, Jakaiyah Rumedon, and Janiyah Anderson of Suffolk VA; and 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers: James "Buddy" Morris (Dorothy) of Washington D.C. and Jimmy Morris (Deborah of Ozark AL and his sister Mary Morris Bradley (Byron) of Washington D.C.; and an abundance of family members including aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.Clennis Morris was a great wise man who was always willing to help and offer advice. he enjoyed being with family and friends, playing a good game of pool and riding his Harley. He served his country in the Army and was also a Vietnam War Veteran. His boisterous personality and silly jokes surely will be missed by many.
