Herbert Lee TurnerHerbert Lee Turner, 64 of Norfolk, VA died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk, VA and the son of the late James E. Ricks and Laura Turner Ricks. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Marshall and Betty Lawton; two brothers, James E. Turner and William Davis.He was educated in the Suffolk City Schools. He was employed at Old Dominion Peanut Company. He leaves to cherish his memory sisters, Linda Ensley, Barbara Figgs (James), Carolyn Ricks, Rowena Langley (Johnny), Lillian Brown, Sylvia Lawton and Debra Lawton; brothers, Leroy Davis, Steve Lawton and Robert Lawton; aunt, Martha Scott-Gordon; uncles, Herbert Scott, Jr., and Lonnie Scott; longtime friend, Kevin (Cheryl) Drayton; very devoted nieces, La’Ronda Ricks, Yashica Brown and Tonya Hicks; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home. Interment will be in Poplar Run Baptist Cemetery.
