MaKayla Nicole JonesMaKayla Nicole Jones, 4 years old, was welcomed into her eternal home by God on April 11, 2014. MaKayla Nicole Jones was born on May 13, 2009 to Marcus and Ciara Jones at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, James T. Pittman, Sr.MaKayla was a student at Growing Up at Obici Day Care where she participated and was actively involved in swimming. She also was an active participant with Triple T Gymnastics. She was involved with numerous heart walks with American Heart Association where she was considered a heart walk hero. She was a member of St. Paul R.Z.U.A. Church under the leadership of Dr. Edward P. Foreman.She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Marcus and Ciara Jones; sister, Kennedy Nicole Jones; grandparents, Jacqueline Boone (Jesse), Barbara Murphy (Anthony), Albert Jones and Frank Eley, Sr. (Annette); and a host of other relatives and friends.A homegoing service will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at St. Paul R.Z.U.A. Church officiated by Dr. Edward P. Foreman. Entombment will be held at Carver Memorial Cemetery. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
