Mary G. StewardMary G. Steward, 84 of 2628 Riddick Drive, Suffolk, VA died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Mary F. Gatling. She retired from Planters Peanut Company. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she was a member of the Sunday School, Senior Citizens choir and Missionary Board.She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Joyce L. Jordan of Portsmouth, VA; one stepson, James C. Steward, Jr.; five grandchildren, Curtis Gatling of Suffolk, Shelia Mitchell (Tony, Sr.) of Suffolk, Tarsha Artis of Hampton, VA, Jada Jordan of Newport News, VA, Kimberly Jordan-Dillard (Carlton) of Hampton, VA; seven great grandchildren, Dantwan Gatling, TaMichael Jordan, Phillip Artis, Jr., Kymani Jordan, Kiera Jordan, Kaela Jordan and Keon Jordan; daughter-in-law, Ruth Gatling; other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
