Marie BowersMarie Bowers, 69 of Windsor, VA passed away May 15, 2014 at Courtland Nursing Home. She was born to the late Charlie and Annie Mae Brown Bowers of Isle of Wight County on June 19, 1944. She was a homemaker and a devoted Jehovah witness. Marie leaves with us the cherished memories of her contagious laughter.She leaves to cherish her memory and love her son, Gurnie Bowers of Newport News, VA; three brothers, Charlie Bowers of Courtland, VA, Bernie Bowers of Windsor, VA, Curtis Bobby Bowers of Portsmouth, VA; three sisters, Sadie Mae Davis of Ivor, VA, Ruby Rogers (James) of Portsmouth, VA and Bernice Gwaltney of Windsor, VA; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1565 Scotts Factory Road, Smithfield, VA.
