Michael CopelandMichael Copeland, 59, of 319 Wellons Street, Suffolk died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Sentara Obici Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late Louise R. Copeland and Horace D. Copeland. He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Reed and brother, Ernest Copeland.He retired in 2014 as owner and operator of Copeland Tree Service where he gave more than 30 years of service. He attended Gethsemane Baptist Church with family members. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Joyce Adriane Copeland; one daughter, Adriane Michelle Branch of Suffolk; four sons, Anthony Branch (Shametrice), Ke’lone Branch (Victoria), Michael Copeland, Jr. all of Suffolk, and Michael Kane of Philadelphia, PA; six sisters, Kenyatta Jordan, Patsy Brown (Clarence), Lorraine Peele (Clifton), Amonica Pope all of Suffolk, and Regina Copeland of Philadelphia, PA; nine brothers, Kennell Jordan, Horace Copeland, Jr. (Norris), Ronnell Copeland, Sr., Willie Ray Pope, Jr. (Delores), Kennard Pope (Valerie), Charlie Pope, Hector Pope, Eric Pope, and Jimmy Pope, Sr. all of Suffolk; eleven grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gloria Mizell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
