Cleophus NorfleetCleophus S. Norfleet, Sr., 89, of Suffolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully at Autumn Care of Suffolk Rehabilitation/Skilled Nursing Center, Suffolk, Virginia on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. He was a member of Tabernacle Christian Church, Suffolk, Virginia. Mr. Norfleet was also past Potentate Arabia Temple No. 12, Portsmouth, Virginia, and a member of Star of Sharon Masonic Hall No. 231.He was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Dr. Thelma T. Norfleet and his son, Cleophus S. Norfleet, Jr.He is survived by two daughters, Yvonne N. Willis and Michelle N. Crenshaw; two grandchildren, Danyail P. Beale and Stanley Maurice Norfleet; three great-grandchildren, D’Monyaa, D’Shia and D’Yontay Beale and three sisters, Lillian S. Maddrey, Lottie F. Smallwood and Laura Goodman and a lifetime friend, Eddie L. Hicks and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home, 900 East Washington Street, Suffolk, Virginia on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by services. Bishop Carlton Upton, Eulogist.
