Mary Edith JordanOn Wednesday, July 23rd, Mrs. Mary E. Jordan, 94 years old, went home to live with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sim T. Jordan; daughters, Shirley Mae Jordan and Dorothy Coley; son, Sim Jordan, Jr.She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Evelyn Godette, Catherine Gates both of Suffolk, Sylvia Fields (Ronnie) of Newport News, VA and Connie Jolly of Lanham, MD; three sons, James Jordan of Suffolk, Vernon Jordan (Ruth) of Passaic, NJ and Edward Jordan (Sherry) of Suffolk; three special grandchildren, Sonya Jordan of Virginia Beach, VA, Chiquita Stagg of Virginia Beach and Nikkia Jordan of Suffolk; a special friend, Mr. Warnnie L. Harris of Suffolk; and grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and friends.A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014 at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Visitation with the family on Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 6 – 7:00 p.m. at Crocker Funeral Home. The family will assemble 12:00 noon at 107 ½ N.
