Reginald Donnell “Donnie” LawrenceReginald Donnell “Donnie” Lawrence, 56 of 301 Festival Court, Suffolk, VA died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Franklin, Virginia and the son of the late Claude L. Lawrence and Mary E. Lawrence. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur Mason, Sr., Ella Joe Perkerson, Mason Turner, Luther Lawrence and Lucy Dickerson Lawrence; nephew, Ronald Lawrence, Jr.He was a graduate of the 1977 class of Idlewood School. He retired from Tidewater Occupational Center after 20 years. “Donnie” was a member of Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic Church where he was a member of the Senior Usher Board, Lottie Jordan Missionary Circle, Pastor’s Aide and National Brotherhood P.A.W. Inc.He leaves to cherish his memory four sisters, Wanda Stallings, Claudette Mason (William) of Suffolk, Linda Holland of Portsmouth, VA and Annie Stallings (Melvin) of Suffolk; two brothers, Ronald Lawrence (Peggy) of Stockbridge, GA and Gregory Lawrence of Suffolk, VA; uncles, Arthur Mason (Mary) of Suffolk, Curtis Johnson of Newport News, VA and Mickey Johnson of Smithfield, VA; aunts, Margaret Price of Melborne, FL and Cora Rios of Washington, D.C.; nieces and nephews, Aaron Hampton, Allia Hampton, Trevon Banks, Tierra Banks, Jayla Carroll, Jalen Carroll, Amari Mason, Damarion Jordan, Daliyah Jordan, TikHaya Collins, Timayah Collins, George Collins, Romiah Lawrence, Ronald Lawrence, III and Ciniyah Jones; devoted and special caregiver, Leslie Darden; other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Greater Sweet Beulah Apostolic Church.
