Tonya Lynette LewisTonya Lynette Lewis, 53 of 198 South Main Street, Suffolk died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of Barbara Mae Wall and the late James Tyler Almond.She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and received two Associate Degrees in Administration of Justice and Police Science from Paul D. Camp Community College. She was a member of WTRJ Honor Guard. Tonya medically retired from the Western Tidewater Regional Jail after 18 years. She was a member of East End Baptist Church and the PHA Order of the Eastern Star.She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James Kelly Lewis, Sr.; sons, Tyree Lewis of Portsmouth, VA, James Lewis, Jr. (Paulette) of Columbia, MD, Dominique Lewis of Suffolk and stepson, Jamal Dargan of Philadelphia, PA; godson, Antonio Major, Jr.; other relatives and many friends.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at East End Baptist Church.
