Michael David WilsonMichael David Wilson, 60 passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk, Virginia and the son of the late Luther Albert Wilson and Ella Louise Wilson.He attended Forest Glen High School. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army to serve his country. Until the day he died, he took pride in being a military veteran. Michael was a devoted member of the Disabled Veterans Association (DAV). He worked as an independent contractor, painter with Bellamy Paint. Michael grew up in church. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He attended church every Sunday and served as the Superintendent of Sunday School.He was known as the life of the party and a man that never met a stranger. He loved his family dearly and family was very important to him. He had a gentle spirit that will be forever and deeply missed.He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Citonia Holden and Tiffany Holden of Franklin, Virginia; three sons, James Wilson of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Holden of Franklin, VA and Kare Warren of Suffolk, VA; nine grandchildren; one sister, Gaynell Almond (Larry) of Suffolk; three brothers, Henry Lowther (Irene), Lee Wilson and Stanley Wilson all of Suffolk; uncles, Ray Lowther and Rolenzie; aunts, Hazel Lowther and Gladys Lowther; a special friend, Bertha Gatling; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Michael had a special relationship with nephews, Stacy Norman, Barry Norman and niece, Anika Inman. He viewed them as his children.A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm, Friday , November 21, 2014 at First Baptist Church 112 Mahan St Suffolk Va.Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
