Valarie DardenValerie Hart Darden, 55 of 32427 Riverdale Drive, Franklin, VA died Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Virginia. She was a native of Suffolk, VA and the daughter of Hilda Hart Boone and the late Theophlise Lawrence.She attended John F. Kennedy High School. She retired from Suffolk Public Schools and worked as a Home Health Care Nurse.Besides her mother, Hilda Hart Boon, she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Joe Darden; stepsons, Joe Darden II and Lance Darden of Emporia, Virginia; two sisters, Patricia Weaver (Andre’ Sr.) and Joyce Worrell both of Suffolk, VA; two brothers, Rodney Hart (Juanita) and N. Tyrone Boone (Toya) of Hampton, Virginia; brother-in-law, James Darden (Christine) of Como, North Carolina; nephews, Andre’ Weaver Jr. (LaTrice) of Chesapeake, VA, and Antoine Worrell (Jewel) of Suffolk, Virginia; niece, LeKeisha Brown (Ray) of Franklin, Virginia; other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday, December 15, 2014 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Anthony Copeland. Interment will be in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends at 5103 Sumer Garden Place, Suffolk.
