She was a native of Suffolk, VA and the daughter of the late Johnny Green and Helen Mae Simpson.She attended John Yates High School. She was employed at the Carpet Lady.She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Timothy Knight; one son, Tahshiem Green of New York; sisters, Dela, Alice, Barbara Ann, Casandra, and Yvonne; brother, David Simpson; seven grandchildren, Revane, Alicia, Denia, Derek, Tahshiem, Zaire and Isaiah; five great grandchildren, Chris, Paige, Noah, Yassir, and Samiyah; other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held at 1200 Noon  Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Crocker Funeral Home Chapel,  900 East Washington Street, Suffolk, Virginia.  Interment will be  Carver Memorial Cemetery.  Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.Condolences may be extended to the family at www.crockerfuneralhome.com.
