Ida Catherine WhiteIda Catherine White died Dec. 27, 2014. She was formerly of 1301 16th St., Newport News, and was born on Nov. 7, 1935, in Roduco, N.C. She is predeceased by her parents, Luke and Ellen Gatling, and her husband, Grady White.She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, Elvis White (Doris), of Brooklyn, N.Y., Ledell White (Geraldine), of Suffolk, and Chrispin White (Reneei), of Poultney, Vt.; one brother, Rhonell Gatling, of Suffolk; one sister, Juanita Lewis, of Manhattan, N.Y.; one sister-in-law, Geneva Evans, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; one brother-in-law, Joe White (Odell), of Suffolk; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.A service of remembrance will be held at noon, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church, 5500 Marshall Ave., Newport News. Viewing will be held at Crocker Funeral Home, 900 E.
