James BarnesJames B. Barnes of the 2000 block of Meadow Country Road, Suffolk entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Philadelphia, PA and the son of the late James H. and Melba B. Brown. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Paula D. Barnes.He attended the Pender County Schools and Norfolk State University. He retired from NCCTAMSLANT fleet after 42 years of service.He leaves to cherish lasting and fond memories, his wife, Sarah P. Barnes of the home; one daughter, Scherrie N. McCutchen of Chesapeake, VA; four sisters, LaVerne Brown, Jamellah Brown Brown of Norfolk, VA, Deborah Dozier of Brooklyn, NY and Velma McKoy (Larry) of Currie, NC; one grandchild, Gabrielle McCutchen of Chesapeake, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM  Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Crocker Funeral Home Chapel,  900 East Washington Street, Suffolk, Virginia.  Interment will be  Albert G.
