Bernard Lee PerryBernard Lee Perry, 62 of 609 Adams Street, Suffolk, VA died Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk and the son of the late Pernell Perry, Sr. and Nettie Westbrook Lawrence.He was a 1971 graduate of Suffolk High School. He attended Virginia State University and Norfolk State University. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. Bernard was a former employee of Planters Peanut Company and Newport News Shipyard. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.Bernard leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Dora Knight Perry; stepdaughters, De’Asia Moody; stepson, Michael Knight; sister, Anna Jones Lipscomb (Eddie); brother, Pernell Perry, Jr.; two step grandchildren; two nieces, Tarsha Perry and Carellette Hawkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Oak Grove Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Anthony Copeland.
