Vernon KnightVernon C. Knight, Sr., 67, of 816 McKinley Ave Suffolk, transitioned on Friday, July 3, 2015 at his residence. Vernon was born November 5, 1947, to the late Edith and Ernest Knight. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Devin R. Blowe; brothers, Ernest Harvey Knight and Lloyd T. KnightVernon attended Suffolk City Public Schools and was the Owner of Knight Grave Digging Services. He was a member of St. Mark A.M.E Zion church where he served as Trustee and as an Usher. He leaves to carry on his legacy his loving wife, Hazel Knight; five daughters, Edith T. Wilson, Cassie Knight, Patricia Ashe, Annette Stalling (Thomas) and Sarah Ashe; three sons, Vernon Knight, Jr., Andrew Ashe and Michael Mizell; three brothers, Nathaniel Knight, Sr.(Yvonne), Fred D. Knight(Doralee), Albert E. “Gene” Knight; sister, Brenda Knight-Turner; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; father-in-law, James E.
