Earlene “Peanut”Jordan-Parson, 76, of Woodruff Street died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County, VA and the daughter of Hayward Jordan and Reconstance Ivory. She was precededin death by her husband, Robert Earl Parson.She was a former employee at Portsmouth General Hospital where she was a Nursing Assistant (CAN).She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Denice Carter-Pruitt of Suffolk; two sons, Dennis L. Carter (Marion) and Bryon D. Parson both of Suffolk; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Clementine Scott of Bridgeport, CT; brother, Earl Lee Jordan of Suffolk; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. A visitation with family will be held 7-8 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2015 in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home.A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Balm of Gilead Baptist Church 3731 White Marsh Road, Suffolk. Bishop A.S. Hall will deliver the eulogy. She will be laid to rest in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The Jordan-Parson family will receive guest at 115 S. 6th Street Suffolk, VA.
