Lester ElliottLester Elliott, 89, passed away peacefully August 12, 2015 at Carrington Place of Chesapeake. A lifelong resident of Suffolk he was born July 15, 1926 in Nansemond County in the same home that he lived in for 82 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Delsie Greene Elliott.Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter Sheila M. Brown, son-in-law Tyrone L. Brown & grandson, Ridge Brown of Suffolk; sisters Pearline Whitney and Audrey Crowder of East Orange, N.J. and a host of nieces, nephews, family members. Lester was a faithful member of Union Bethel Baptist Church his entire adult life. A home going service will be held Monday, August 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Crocker Funeral Home chapel, 900 E. Washington Street, Suffolk. The family and friends will assemble at 10:45 a.m. and Rev. Leolia Brown will officiate.
