Mildred B. RobertsMildred B. Roberts, 80 of 219 Prospect Road died Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Corapeake, NC and the daughter of the late James Mayo and Bernice Harrell Watson.She was a devoted musician in the churches of Suffolk and North Carolina. She attended New First Baptist Church and was a long standing member of Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church in Corapeake.She leaves to cherish her memory six daughters, Elaine Harrell of Chesapeake, VA, Brenda Barr (Nathan) of Franklin, VA, Joyce Roberts of Andrews, SC, Sheila Chittum (Ronald) of Adel, GA, Pennie Roberts of Suffolk, VA and Beth Wright (Randall) of Adel, GA; three sons, William Roberts, Jr. of Hampton, VA, Joseph Roberts of Chesapeake, VA and Randy Roberts (Taisha) of Suffolk; 21 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Dorsey of Norfolk, VA, Lois Knight of Corapeake, NC and Maggie Williamson of Norfolk, VA; four brothers, Ernest Boyce of Long Island, NY, Floyd Boyce of Brooklyn, NY, Delmar Harrell (Dollie) of Harrellsville, NC and James Harrell (Wendy) of Long Island, NY; 6 sisters-in-law and 4 brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 21, 2015 at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church, Corapeake, NC. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday starting at 6:00 p.m. at New First Baptist Church, Hosier Road.
