Earl L. FaulkEarl L. “Uncle Earl” Faulk, 76 of 3266 Jackson Road, Suffolk, VA died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at his residence. He was a native of Nansemond County and the son of the late James Faulk and Carthene Faulk-Milteer.He attended East Suffolk High School. He retired from Consolidated Roofing Company, Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Faulk was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where he was a Deacon, member of the Usher Ministry, Treasurer of Usher Ministry, attended Sunday School, taught the men’s class for “High Attendance” Sunday, and honorary member of GBC male chorus.He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Thelma D. Faulk; daughter, Doreen Freeman of Riverside, CA; sisters, Odelia Hortillosa, Louvenia White, Selena Copeland, Elsie Milteer and Mary A. Walston all of Suffolk; step brothers, Eugene Milteer (Doretha) and Curtis Milteer (Sarah); one grandchild, Zion Freeman; two sisters-in-law, Doris L. Folk of Suffolk and Realis E. Fisher of Philadelphia, PA; one brother-in-law, John Fisher of Philadelphia; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Gethsemane Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ernest L. Simmons, Sr. Interment will be in the Faulk Cemetery. Professional services with dignity have been entrusted to Crocker Funeral Home.
