Alease ParkerAlease P. Parker, 63 of 140 Maple Street, Suffolk died Friday, September 11, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Suffolk, VA and the daughter of the late James Odom and Ruth Parker Dotson.She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School class of 1969 and attended Strayer University. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Project Contracts at Virginia Department of Transportation. Alease was a member of St. Paul RZUA Church where she was a member of the Missionary, Church Secretary Assistant, Sunday School, Gospel Choir and Combined Choir. She was a licensed Virginia Contract Administrator. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Walter R. Parker, Jr.; one daughter, Latousha P. Jackson of Chesapeake, VA; five sons, Reuben Darnell Parker, Curtis London Parker, Steven Vernard Parker all of Suffolk, Anthony Sean Parker of Alexandria, VA and Walter R. Parker, III of East Hampton, NJ; twenty three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one sister, Sandra Parker Holliman of Suffolk; nieces, Angel Merrin, Michelle Holiman, Tracy Holliman; nine great nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Dorothy M. Parker; other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Tabernacle Christian Church officiated by Dr. Edward P. Foreman. Entombment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 18 at Crocker Funeral Home.
