Helen S. BellHelen S. Bell, 69 of 511 South Main Street, Suffolk transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of Fannie Mae and the late Reuben Stephenson, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Bell, Sr.; son, Robert L. Bell, Jr.; grandson, Michael A. Bell, Jr.; and sister, Mazie Stephenson.She retired from Suffolk City Schools as a custodian.She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Vera Bell (George Cross), Arlisa Powell (Willie); sons, James Bell (Sonya), Michael Bell, Sr. (Tamika); and devoted companion, Benjamin Stephenson.She is survived by her siblings, Eugene Stephenson, Bernita Harris, Morris Stephenson (Martha), Rudolph Stephenson (Pam) and Reuben Stephenson, Jr. (Patricia). She is survived by her in-laws, James Bell, Sr. (Dora), Barbara Boone, Anna Kindred (Nathaniel) and Eva Goodman.She loved dearly her special angels, Christopher B. Rodgers, Eric D. Bell, Robert L. Bell, III, Nikolas X. Powell, Destinee A. Bell, Mariyah A. Bell, Jeremiah C. Bell and Christopher Z. Rodgers. She also leaves to cherish her memory 15 grandchildren, five great grandchildren; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at Tabernacle Christian Church with Bishop Madison Copeland, Eulogist and Bishop Carlton Upton, Pastor.
